Marek Poliks is a theoretical researcher in deep learning and AI, primarily concerned with the autonomy and self-organizing character of technical infrastructure. He is the technical co-founder of the Disintegrator podcast (‘the most sophisticated conversations about AI going,’ Novara Media) and think-tank, alongside frequent collaborator Roberto Alonso. Marek and Roberto’s 2025 book Exocapitalism: Economies with Absolutely No Limits (Becoming Press) enumerates the formal entanglements between market economics and computation through the lens of ontology. It has been described as ‘unbelievably inspiring’ (Hito Steyerl, Die Welt), an ‘info-hazard’ (Metalabel), and ‘enlightening and infuriating’. Marek also serves as a senior technical leader in the AI industry, specialising in model management and oversight.
